volunteer day!

hi all! thank God i found some time to blog. we got home an hour ago from church, sunday family luncheon, mall and grocery shopping. i rented wild hog last night, but i fell asleep again so noel ended up watching it by himself =( that's ok, i'll just watch it with my kids after this.

anyway, yesterday's volunteer work with bright hope was fun, heartfelt and just full of enthusiasm. not only with our group (project hope team), but with the rest of the volunteers we met. we packed some med packs that will be donated to the aids victims in africa. shipping day is sept. 10th. although you don't need experience to join, my packing skills and my fast paced mentality really helped. i mean we were joined by a youth group in geneva - beautiful people - such Christ lovers. from 830p to 2pm we exceeded our goal! target for the day was about 20k of med packs, but about 40 or 50 of us made over 30k. isn't that amazing! the team work and love for the Lord and His people did it! we sure look forward for the next project =)

oh! also wanted to share to you the birthday celebration we had last friday for our very own sis in Christ, marge. it was just a last minute thing and we were definitely accommodated with some great food and wonderful conversations. the kids bonded and it was great to be around my girlfriends once again. although not all were there, but it sure was a blessing to see marge & char. us 3 alone filled their new home with laughter. love the house by the way. if ever i move again in chicago (which is very unlikely) i would definitely consider that house. so cute! i'm happy for you magsingit family! happy birth again marge - we love u!

well, here's some pics to share: (char, please kindly upload what you have- tanx!)
uh-oh! i think i'm loosing my voice again. i've been feeling under the weather for the past few days... i've had itchy throat and been sneezing on and off, but thankfully nothing else. i have too many responsibilities... can't afford to get sick!

before i sign off... just wanted to welcome the new members of our family... friends, meet meemo & shadow (our 2 gold fishes) =)

k, need to get some rest... back to work tomorrow!

God bless n nitey nite!

catchin' up

i know i owe you all some blogz... so sorry, i really thought i could squeeze blogging over the weekend, but i guess i committed myself to a weekend of enjoying my friends and family. no regrets though *wink*

ok, regarding the long awaited vacation we had a couple of weeks ago to va... i must give my in-laws a round of applause for making our vacation truly something to remember. every moment spent with all of them were priceless. the kids definitely bonded like there's no tomorrow. the surprise early arrival and the birthday sing-along we planned for my sis-in-law, maritess were amazingly 2 thumbs up! thank you Lord!

it was great to see my relatives there too. one of the many highlights of the trip was the wonderful people we met at the Bible study held at my cousin, lynn's house. noel and i surely had a wonderful time. there's nothing like hearing the word of God, i tell yah!

we had a blast at busch garden - brought the kid in me and my hubby once again! love the rides! since i'm the photographer and videographer of the family, i just realized that i don't have much pictures of myself with the family nor on the video... gee thanks! i guess i need to learn char's skills =) or does she have another arm maybe?

our vacation was also in celebration of our 10th anni... wow! 10 yrs... i've known my husband for 15 yrs (half of my lifetime) - on the day of our anni... we decided to go to one of our favorite japanese rest., close to our house... "jurin". we had a simple, joyful and bountiful dinner and since there's work the next day we decided to call it a night. we thank the Lord for blessing our marriage inside and out, for guiding our thoughts, our mouths, our hearts and leading us to a path where our faith in Christ grows deeper and deeper.

you know what, since i came back i've had the urge to do some organization in my house... i hate clutter - how can we get rid of them? ugh! the day after we arrived, i reupholstered my dinning chairs and my sis helped me sew my new curtains for my bedroom. since then, my husband and i have been waking up much later than ever! yikes! was that a good idea or what? lolz

here are the promised pics: enjoy! oh btw, char thanks for the silly photos! you're a pro!

continue to be blessed!

My bestfriend of many years & our kids. Here's for you love =) lol -hope you like it

Hey there! Here some ( mix) pictures from this weekend and some last week.

Well taken cared of...

yup! we are all well taken cared of. when God says i'll take care of you, believe me He means it.

i have lots to talk about, but for now, i'd like to share to you some PH updates. this is my daily bread testimony for today, i know i've blogged about our successful garage sale, but i have yet to share it to my daily bread subscribers. expect me to blog again anytime soon about the experience i had last week as well as some pics i'd like to share to you.

As promised, I will keep you all posted with our Project HOPE progress. I then decided to make this as my daily bread testimony for the day.

First and foremost, I hope this email finds you all well. I apologize for the delay in updating you with our progress. We went to visit Noel's family in Virginia last week and I was unable to send you all an update because of our busy schedule. Hope you all understand. =)

Okay! Update:

Garage Sale 07/21 & 07/22
Praise the LORD! First, for the awesome weather! Second, for meeting such wonderful people and third, for letting us raise $510.75. Woohoo! We couldn't have done it without God's grace, the 110% sweat, faith and effort of the Project HOPE team and most especially YOU. With your prayers and support, it has brought us up another level to help much more than we had thought of just with our own resources. FYI, half of the funds came from the sale and the other half came from donations. Now isn't that amazing? Believe me, we did not even have this much in mind, but God is faithful with His promises and He certainly delivered much more than we anticipated!

Although the sale on the 2nd day didn't do well, we ran into some old friends from a former church we used to attend to at our home church and were fascinated with the PH idea that they have promised to supply bibles and tracts for the project. And besides the 2-day garage sale, we have received some dropped-off donations in our doorstep a couple of days later.

VA Vacation
While we were in Virginia and as we attended the Bible study held at my cousin's house, we were approached by their Senior Pastor and were very delighted to find out about PH. He offered to support the cause and soon I will be sending him all the information. And what’s amazing is that him and his family are scheduled to go to the Philippines the same time we are. He offered to keep in-touch so that we can coordinate as they would like to be a part of this first mission we have in the streets of Philippines. We also unexpectedly received some monetary donations that night.

With all the steps God has been directing us; I can humbly say
“All glory to our Heavenly Father!”

So what’s the message I would like to leave you today? Well, I truly believe that when we walk in obedience to God's will, however difficult or unusual our situation is, God supplies all our needs. So as for you my friends, remember that God is aware of our needs way before you even know it. And so when you are in a situation when you feel that there seems to be no way, trust that GOD CAN make a way. God is as close as a prayer… release your worries to the Lord, for the same God who has faithfully provided for you in the past will continue to meet your needs.

Have a JO
YFUL day!
