k, i'm blogging coz of frustration with the filipino dvds i was planning to watch. this dvds will go around the group and it's my turn now, but this darn thing won't play in any of my dvd players not even my computer. what in da world? it's dvd9 formatted. it's either my playerz are not upgraded enough or this dvd is just corrupt, grrrr!
ok, lemme calm down and just blog happily =)
i'm in the kitchen table coz my son is using the pc in my office. my little cherub is right next to me drawing her fave characters (barney, bj, baby bop, teletubbies). whoops! i just tried to play the dvd on my daughter's portable dvd player and it works! super! i guess i don't have to be frustrated after all... hehehe although i anticipated a bigger screen... i guess i still have to be thankful no matter how small it is.
char, just called and told me a sad news. one of my mom's older friends suffered a stroke last week and is still in the hospital. i remember how much her and her late husband were loved by my mom and the times when my mom would go out of her way to be there for them. anyone who becomes my mom's friend, becomes part of her world. she has gone beyond what a friend can ask for. that's why we love my mom's friends so much that they have become part of our lives. we take time to call and send them letters to keep our mom's legacy alive. it brings us joy every time we see and hear from them.
actually, my dad too just had 3 surgeries (a cyst on his arm, prostate & hernia). he's in the philippines right now and we're still waiting for his phone call since we have no other way of getting a hold of him besides his home phone. please include them both in your prayers. the Lord hears them all and we're confident that His hand is not too short to heal our loved ones.
ok... back to the title...
1) have more time alone w/ the Lord
2) memorize scriptures (i wrote verses on an index card memorize them while driving - it works!)
3) have more time for my kids and my hubby (don't work too much at home)
4) journal at least 3x a week (i have a new one for 2008)
5) keep up w/ my workout 2x a week - so far i haven't given up yet =)
6) save money! be a good steward of God's money
7) learn to cook - yep! don't know how - hey! don't make fun of me now=(
8) be more productive at work (stop chatting too much lolz)
9) keep up w/ keeping the house clean - when u have kids u know what i mean ;)
10) have bible study once a week w/ my kiddies - it stopped for awhile =(
11) develop relationship w/ others through the love of God
sounds too many? that's ok... i just have to keep my word and ask God to help me fulfill each one of them coz i sure won't be able to do any of them w/o Him.
well, gotta go... b4 i get in trouble for being online during family time hehehehe
nitey nite! God bless us all!
Sharing my blessings during good times and bad times as I walk side by side w/ God. Delivering HOPE when life happens...

HeAvEn!
wow! i finally get to blog. i've been really bc at work, by the time i get home i try to watch a few shows on tv, spend time with my kids and next thing you know it's bed time already and so i just couldn't find time to sign in. the only time i really get to spend my quiet time with the Lord is while i put yanna (my youngest) to sleep. goodness! she's been sleeping late lately... ugh! well, that's another story. nway, even with my odb i'm always late. and to think one of my many goals for 2008 is to use my time management skills... um, yeah sure! well, that's another blog entry... my goals! i'll do that next time i blog.
i really wanted to share to you the message from willow last sunday. it was about Heaven! ahhh! my most anticipated place!
before i share to you what Heaven is like, let me squeeze in what happened last saturday. it's amazing how the Lord got us all pumped up about Heaven. i had 3 conversations (at different times) last sat about Heaven. one is with my mom-in-law, 2nd with my kids & 3rd with my husband late that night. they were all very interesting and educational. the funny part was when my daughter asked if we would know each other when we get to Heaven. i said, "absolutely! however, i will no longer be your mom, but your sister because we will all have our Heavenly Father as the head. then my daughter and my son turned to each other and shouted... NOOOO! then my daughter said "that means ayre will still be my brother!" and my son goes, "and ate (tagalog for older sister) will still be my sister! NOOOO! then my husband added, "and mom will be my sister!" ewe! hahaha great! so much for that illustration! lol!
i just love it when we have those kodak moments... esp. when we're all anticipating on one thing. how great Heaven will be!
okay, so it's my turn to share what Heaven is like with you... drum roll pls!
did u know?
- 85% of americans believe in Heaven?
- in Heaven, there will be a multitude from every tribe, language, people & nation who will have eternal life coz of their faith in Jesus (Revelation 7:9)
- most Christians believe they will see their pets in Heaven
- there's no death, suffering, tears, or pain in Heaven (Revelation 21:4)
- everything good on earth are just a sneak peek of what Heaven has.
Heaven is a place of love, relationship & connection. our first day in Heaven is like the wedding of the lamb. Jesus said 2000 yrs ago, "I will prepare a place for you!" wow! just imagine, if you're one who loves interior decorating, a clutter free home, a place of serenity... imagine the place Jesus is preparing for us. there won't be a place you would rather be. no more worries, no more fear, no more tears, no more pain... everything will just be PURRfect! we will have unbelievable reunions with family, friends, acquaintances... Heaven is filled with such great joy and laughter! a place where everyone is praising and worshiping our dear Heavenly Father!!!
ok friends, i'm not trying to scare you, but this is something y'all must know if you haven't realized it. hell is a place of weeping, gnashing of teeth, agony and a place of eternal fire... i mean, just UGLY and TERRIFYING... but there's good news... it can be avoided through the love and grace of God. the Lord is so good that He's giving us a chance to change... to have a wonderful relationship with Him, to help us remove our old self and give us a renewed life with Jesus Christ. our good deeds do not make this possible, remember that! God offers this gift to everyone who takes the step of accepting Christ Jesus as savior. so why wait? do it now! if you don't know how... you can email me or call 888-NeedHIM.
Jesus eliminated the need for good deeds when he took upon Himself the punishment for all our sins on Calvary. of course with Jesus in our lives, we'll want to do good deeds so that God will be glorified!
some of you may be in a situation where you're emotionally drained, physically tired of pain or both... take heart my friend, for in Heaven there will be no more of that. death is the gateway to real life if you know Jesus Christ!
i anticipate the time to see my mom again and esp. to join the Father - where i'll be hearing Him say, "well done, good and faithful servant... come home! (Matthew 25:21) wouldn't you want to reunite with your loved ones too?
when i get to Heaven, i'm gonna be HOME!
enjoy your weekend and blessings to you all!

angels are real!
last sunday was one of the many outstanding messages i've received from the Lord. with so many messages delivered by different pastors, this is the first time i heard one talk about angels. and i was overflowing with joy to find out about them.
there are many passages in the Bible that involves angels. where God used them to bring His message across to His people. one of many instances was when the angel of the Lord named, gabriel appeared to mary, the mother of Jesus.
here's something you should know about angels...
-the word angel comes from the greek word aggelos that means "messenger"
-angels are mentioned 108x in the old testament and 165x in the new testament
-angels are created beings, not humans who received wings after death
- in the Bible, angels appear as adults, not chubby cherubs (although it's possible that there are some up there in heaven)
-whether angels deliver a message, worship and praise God, provide for our physical needs, or strengthen and protect us, everything they do is designed to serve the Lord.
sometimes, angels are even among us!
sorry to kill the excitement a little but, not all angels are good... one of them was lucifer - an angel who was created flawless, but became too proud of himself that he wanted to be like God. him including the rest of the condemned angels are all around us... although they already know that they're defeated, they're still fighting... fighting for you and me. the only question is... will they get you? will they get me? remember my friends, in the Bible it says that the devil has come to steal, kill and destroy... their #1 agenda is to deceive you and me. so what do we need to do? well, besides receiving God as our personal Lord and Savior... we are to learn with an awareness of how the evil one works. do not underestimate them and overestimate yourself. our spiritual battles are fought w/ spiritual weapons (prayers, memorization of scriptures, studying the word of God and letting God live in you).
satan will do everything in his power to deceive you... to keep you away from following God. sometimes, he'll even remind you of your past and so when he does... all you need to do is to remind him of his future... that he's going down!
temptations are all around us and so my prayer for you and me is that God will make us DANGEROUS. that when you enter a room field with evil things... they will flee from you. let's be DANGEROUS and STAND FIRM for the LORD!
anyway, in the Bible there are no evidence that we each have our own guardian angel, however we can rest assure that we have the Lord to guide and protect us. He doesn't need an angel to care and love us... after all... He is the ALMIGHTY GOD!
God bless you all! Good night!
